Question-Answer (Q/A) packs

We measure your Q/A usage in Q/A Credits (Normalized Q/A Units). Questions vary greatly — some are short, others require deep reasoning or large context retrieval. Q/A Credits provides a fair, consistent unit across these differences. For your plan, a standard Q/A is approximately one Q/A Credit.

Refresh packs

We measure your refresh / training usage in Training Credits (Normalized Training/Refresh Units). Resources vary in size and richness, and some are new while others are unchanged. Training Credits ensures that refresh cost stays fair and proportional to the actual amount of knowledge processed.

Introducing Q/A Credits and Training Credits. Your plan includes a baseline of knowledge resources that your HEAs can learn from (pages, docs, FAQs, articles…). A larger resource base makes your HEA more capable, but it also means that both Q/A and refresh operations require more computation. This is reflected through:
Q/A Credits (Normalized Q/A Units) — the compute used to answer questions (Q/A).
Training Credits (Normalized Training/Refresh Units) — the compute used to refresh and retrain your HEA.
As your HEA grows, its per-message Q/A Credits and per-refresh Training Credits may increase, which influences your actual credit consumption. We don’t enforce hard limits on resources: you stay free to design your HEA. Don’t worry — we continuously optimise processing on your behalf to keep usage efficient.
What’s a Q/A? One full exchange: you ask, your HEA answers. For fairness, very short interactions (like greetings) are counted as a fraction, not a full Q/A Credit.
What’s a “refresh”? A full knowledge update for your HEA across all resources included in your plan. Updates are normalised by size, so you're not charged a full Training Credit when only a small portion of the knowledge changes.
What’s a “resource”? A piece of knowledge your HEAs learn from — such as a webpage, FAQ entry, help article, blog post, or PDF. Resources are pooled across all your HEAs. Your plan determines how much knowledge your HEAs can include overall, sized to handle your usage comfortably.
